Lesson Seven.

This is a lesson in pleasure. Probably the most important lesson in the series. Good ole’ Lucretious comes entering stage left. Lucretious the explicator of Greek Epicurious for the Romans. What was it? What did he mean the purpose of life is to find pleasure? Epicurianism does not equate with gluttony.

Epicurus disparages the “crass hedonism” which emphasizes physical pleasure, and instead claims that the philosophical pursuit of wisdom with close friends is the greatest of pleasures as in these lessons and posts. So for this lesson we will access the Poetry Jukebox.

Access is gained by a series of seven moments. The supplicant (you) to the J-box (me) asks a “life question” and the reply will be a selection from “the box”. Seven times. So a texted question will be answered via a voice recording file you will have to repeat at your leisure.
